Organic Agriculture training to farmers of Nepal in Dec 27th, 28th and 29th, 2011

Objective of training

The main objective of training is to provide tailored training to farmers on Organic Farming and to share experience among farmers of different communities

Course content

  • Concept on organic farming, its practice and certification procedure
  • Preparation of different bio-fertilizers,
  • Preparation of bio-pesticides and organic growth promoters
  • Double digging and preparation of plots for transplanting seedlings
  • Nursery Management
  • Post harvest process
  • Seed production and conservation

 

Course facilitators

The course facilitators are the experienced trained resource persons who are working extensively in organic agriculture.

Time duration and Venue

The time duration of the training is 3 days which is residential in Govardhan Sharma Organic Agriculture Resource Centre (GSOARC), Pokharelphant, Tanahu. The rooms and tents are provided in farm for accommodation.

Training fee 

The total training fee for each participant is Nrs. 5000 which includes food and lodging facilities, training materials and stationary.

Number of participants

For the effectiveness of training and to make participatory, 20 participants will be accommodate in one training session.

 

Note: After the successful completion of course, there is provision of certificate from SADP Nepal. While on request of participants/farmers, monitoring will be carried out by technical person of SADP for the monitoring of farm.
