1. “Support in economic enhancement of ethnic community of Kyamin VDC of Tanahu district of Nepal” funded by Horticulture Collaborative Research Support Program (HortCRSP)

Start of the project: June 1, 2011

End of the project: December 31, 2011

Activities:

1. 3 orientation program on production, post harvest and marketing of tomatoes

2. 3 training programs on production, post harvest and marketing of tomatoes

3. Research on tomatoes disease (bacterial wilting and powdery mildew)

Total beneficiaries: 105 community members

2. Technical Support in “Rural School Garden Program” funded by FAO

The barren land of two schools of Tanahu district is being used for the organic farming as a support to school. The projects commence from February 2011. It is one year project and will able to establish garden in schools where children can grow organic vegetables and develop as organic garden. Children can play with mud and able to know value of “Mother earth”.

 

 

Upcoming projects

1. Nepal School project support from Australia by shipping 20 ft container to Nepalese school community. Australian school will fundraise sufficient funds to purchase and transport container to school.

2. Sustainable income generation of ethnic and marginal farmers through orgnaic agriculture in Kyamin VDC of Tanahu district by Agriculture Institute of Canada (AIC) for 5 years

3. Bee Keeping project in partnership with Village Volunteer, USA
